WHO WE ARE
We are Mezcal Quiatoni, a Zapotec family from the mountains of Oaxaca, where mezcal has been part of life for centuries. What began as a necessity—to migrate to the United States in search of opportunities—turned into a deep appreciation for our heritage and the ancestral spirit that had long remained hidden in our community.
Upon returning home, we joined our family to bring mezcal to life, facing challenges with courage and patience. The journey was not easy—limited resources, little formal education, and even the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic—but after years of effort, we proudly share a mezcal born from tradition, resilience, and love for our land.
Our purpose is simple yet profound: to honor our Zapotec culture, share mezcal with the world, and support the families who cultivate agave so they can thrive with dignity and pride. Each bottle carries not only the essence of the agave, but also the spirit of our people.
